In the Dordogne, in the Périgord Noir one finds the Valley of the Vézère which is also called the valley of the man. Our valley is best known for the exceptional concentration of prehistoric sites - 14 of them (including Lascaux) have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Our guest house is 5 minutes from the nearest caves.
The Vézère valley and the Dordogne valley offer a wide variety of sites to discover: museums, castles, troglodyte sites, classified villages and theme parks. But also many natural places: rivers, forests, trails, chasms, parks and gardens.
Périgord is a place rich in local gastronomic products. They are found on markets, in restaurants and inn farms. To surprise our taste buds, we are easily tempted by gourmet recipes around goose and duck, vegetables and berries, truffles and nuts. These authentic flavors are obviously in line with Bergerac wines, which are also found in the cellars. For sweets, strawberries and chestnuts are in the spotlight ...
The natural areas of Périgord offer ideal settings for sports activities:
On the course of the Dordogne or the Vézère one bathes or one slides in canoe, in kayak or in Gabarre.
On the trails between hills, forests and villages, you hike or horseback riding.
On roads and paths, you ride on bicycle or mountain bike.
On the lawns in the middle of remarkable gardens one practices golf.
In the air, around the castles, above this verdant nature we fly in hot air balloon, paragliding or ULM.
